Sony has announced that they are making significant changes to the PlayStation Plus and Now services. They are introducing new membership options with new benefits. Sony also stated that these changes are massive and would roll out in a staggered release. This may leave you wondering which regions will first get the new PlayStation Plus service.

According to Sony’s PlayStation blog, the launch will begin in Asia in June 2022. Following Asia would be North America, Europe, and everywhere else that PlayStation Plus is available. Sony aims to have the new PlayStation Plus memberships live in most regions by the end of the first half of 2022. This announcement was also made on the official PlayStation Twitter.

These changes will include three flexible options with different costs and benefits. The three options are PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium, increasing in tier in that order.

We recommend those on PlayStation or already subscribed to the service to look at each plan carefully before deciding which one to use. Regardless of which option you select, you will get some benefits out of it!
