Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights is a turn-based mobile RPG that features characters from the well-loved Bravely Default series, such as Edea and Gloria. It will also contain four new ones: Claire, Steel Franklin, Sandra Cassandra, and Rufus. It was created to celebrate the franchise’s 10th anniversary in 2022, and is available in Japan. But when can we expect to see it released globally?

So far, there hasn’t been an announcement about a localization. However, given Bravely Default’s also huge following in the West, fans are pretty optimistic. After all, even Bravely Second: End Layer, the second title in the franchise released for the 3DS, needed a year to be localized.

Still, you can enjoy the game’s opening movie for now:

Revo is also back to compose music for the game.

Unlike most mobile games today, Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights doesn’t have a character gatcha. As such, you can choose your favorite warriors of light and train them to their fullest potential. It’s also primarily a single-player RPG, though you do have the option to play with others. Crossover events with some of other Silicon Studio’s franchises, such as Octopath Traveler, are also available.
