The enhanced edition for the Final Fantasy VII Remake, called Intergrade, is finally making its way onto Steam. Square Enix announced during the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Livestream that Intergrade will be available to purchase on Steam, and the game will be compatible with the newly released Steam Deck.

When is the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade coming to Steam?

Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available on June 17, less than 24 hours from when the Livestream aired. Depending what your time zone is, the game could be available right now. Intergrade not only includes PlayStation 5 level graphics and lightning, but it also includes a brand-new playable episode featuring Yuffie.

In the original Final Fantasy VII, Yuffie was an optional playable character that players can come across and recruit. Intergrade centers on Yuffie’s exploits within Midgard during the early parts of the main story. Intergrade also features brand-new characters and expanded gameplay features.

Does Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade work on the Steam Deck?

Square Enix confirms that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is compatible with the Steam Deck. That means owners of the Steam Deck can play the game on the go. Given the Graphical capabilities of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it is surreal that players are capable of playing something that high-def on a small handheld device.

Square Enix also announced during the 25th Anniversary Livestream a re-release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII called Reunion, which will be making its way to modern consoles this winter, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy that aims to release next winter.
