Dr. Nefarious is back to his treachorous ways in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and this time he’s broken all of time and space. It’s up to Ratchet and Clank to piece the multiverse back together, but they need help from friends both new and old. So how long will it take to beat this PS5-exclusive from Insomniac Games?
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart should take around 12.5 hours to beat the main story according to How Long to Beat, a website that aggregates user-submitted playtimes. Players average about 12 to 13 hours for their first playthrough, and around 15.5 to complete the main story while completing side activities and extras.
After completing your first playthrough, it is possible to beat the game even faster if you speed through familiar areas and skip cutscenes. This should help if you’re chasing the Platinum trophy and aim to gather all of the missed trophies in a timely manner.

Rift Apart is a longer package than the PS4 Ratchet & Clank, a remake of the original game and tie-in to the 2016 film of the same name. On a first playthrough, the PS4 game takes about 10 to 11 hours to complete, demonstrating how much more Insomniac Games has packed into the PS5 entry.
Completionists reported around 20 hours to complete everything possible in the PS4 title, and if this is any length to go by, Rift Part might take an additional five to nine hours to earn that Platinum trophy, depending on each player’s experience with the series.
