Avalanche Software’s Hogwarts Legacy is set during the late 1800s. So, given the fact that the prominent headteacher was born in 1881, this does mean Albus Dumbledore could very well feature in the main storyline of the game.

That being said, Albus Dumbledore began his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1892, meaning he would feature as a teenage wizard during his seven years in education. However, seeing as Avalanche Software has yet to confirm the exact year Hogwarts Legacy takes place, it’s unclear whether or not Dumbledore will make an appearance.

Of course, Hogwarts Legacy taking place in the late 1800s does mean the story could be set anywhere from 1860 to 1900. Providing it is set between 1892 and 1899, then Albus Dumbledore will, with a pinch of luck, feature in Hogwarts Legacy as an up-and-coming Gryffindor student.

Hogwarts Legacy is set to launch in 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
