When a game has been released for some time, it is natural to wonder whether it’s worth jumping into the scene late. With some games, it’s not worth it because the traffic is gone and developers may not support the game with patches any longer. Destiny 2 is not one of these, so feel free to play it any time you please.

Is it worth playing Destiny 2?

Our short answer is yes, Destiny 2 is still worth playing. One thing we’ll first consider when deciding if a game is worth playing is if it is still supported on platforms or updated/patched. With Destiny 2, that’s true as it continues to be updated on a semi-regular basis.

There’s also still a fairly large player base with Destiny 2, so you don’t have to worry about struggling to find other players to engage with. Lastly, we feel that the game itself is a great game regardless of its age. If you’re considering playing the game but aren’t sure, we suggest giving it a try!

What else should I play instead of Destiny 2?

If you’ve decided for one reason or another that Destiny 2 is not the game for you, we understand. You may still want to play a game that has similar attributes to Destiny 2. If this is you, check out any of these games below:

  • Borderlands 3
  • Division 2
  • Elden Ring
  • No Man’s Sky
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
