In Tears of Themis, players must maintain their Vision Cards, in order to progress in the game. This includes upgrading, enhancing, evolving and leveling up the card’s skills. There are many different materials player will have to obtain, along with completing different parts of the story to upgrade their Vision Cards. Here’s a detailed guide on how to upgrade Vision Cards in Tears of Themis.
Upgrade Vision Cards
Upgrading Vision Cards increases their Influence and Defense stats. Card Fragments, Upgrade Stars of the same rarity of the card and Stellin Coin are the materials and currency needed to upgrade Vision Cards. Card Fragments are obtained when players draw duplicate cards; these duplicates will be converted to card fragments and are used to upgrade the card it matches. Each leading male character has their own upgrading materials for players to obtain and each material is tiered to match the cards rarity.
Vision Stars I, II and III are used to upgrade Luke’s R, SR and SSR Cards. Mind Stars I,II and III are used to upgrade Vyn’s R, SR and SSR Cards. Equalization Stars I, II and III are used to upgrade Artem’s R, SR and SSR Cards. Infinity Stars I, II and III are used to upgrade Marius’ R, SR and SSR Cards. These upgrading materials can be earned as rewards for simply playing the game or players can exchange other rewards they’ve earned, like Wishing Coins and Friendship Badges at the mall shop to obtain Upgrade Stars and Stellin Coins.
Enhance Vision Cards
Enhancing Vision Cards increases their power level. Oracles of Justice I, II, III and IV, along with Stellin Coins are the materials needed to enhance Vision Cards. These materials can also be obtained by playing the game or players can exchange other rewards they’ve earned in the game like Wishing Coins and Friendship Badges at the mall shop to obtain to purchase Oracles of Justice and Stellin Coins.

Evolve Vision Cards
Evolving Vision Cards unlocks a new face of the card and it’s card skills. It also raises the cards level cap. A card can be evolved three times, after reaching it’s max level. Evolving a Vision Card requires the specific character materials and the card’s Attribute Chips of the current level and the level it will evolve into. Luke’s cards require the Attribute Chip and Vision Chips I, II and III to evolve R, SR and SSR Cards. Vyn’s cards require Mind Chips I, II and III to evolve R, SR and SSR cards. Artem’s cards require Equalization Chips I, II and III, to evolve his R, SR and SSR Cards. Marius’ cards require Infinity Chips I, II and III to evolve his R, SR and SSR Cards. These character chips along with the cards attribute chips and some Stellin Coin, are the materials needed to evolve Vision Cards.
Level Up Vision Cards
Each card starts out with one skill. More can be unlocked by evolving the card. Different cards have different skill combinations and upgrading a skill increases the effectiveness of that particular skill. The card’s Attribute Impressions and the characters personal items that are obtained in the story, are the materials needed to level up card skills.
