If you’re grinding the new Mounts in Final Fantasy: XIV Endwalker, you’ll probably be looking for Chi Bolts. A drop from the FATE Omicron Recall: Killing Order, Chi Bolts are obtained by killing the boss of that Fate, Chi.

However things aren’t so simple as finding the FATE and killing the boss. The FATE only spawns after a sequence of two other FATES have been completed in Ultima Thule. This triggers the Chi FATE. There are two FATEs you need to defeat before Omicron Recall: Killing Order spawns, both also called Omicron Recall. Then, once these FATES have been completed, during a 48-hour period, the FATE will spawn.

Once the FATE has been completed, it goes on cooldown for up to 48 hours. The cooldown time is random and can be incredibly short or a full 48 hours. However, as all new Endwalker areas are currently instanced, there’s three times as much chance the FATE will spawn. The timer for each Chi FATE is unique to the instance, so with good luck, you’ll get multiple spawns every 48 hours.

Completing the FATE Omicron Recall: Killing Order will earn you six Chi bolts. These can then be traded to Nesvaaz <Totem and Sundry Exchange> in Radz-at-Han in exchange for rewards. They’re located at X: 10.5, Y: 10.1 in Radz-at-Han. Currently the only reward is the Level Checker Identification Key, which unlocks the Level Checker mount.
