In the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering World Quest, you need to disable Bedrock Keys—seals placed by the Liyue Qixing to prevent outsiders from entering The Chasm. Destroying them requires the help of a Geo Damage dealer or a claymore user, so make sure to have either on your team.
There are five Bedrock Keys to destroy, two of which Zhiqiong will guide you into completing, and three of which live deeper in The Chasm.
How to Destoy Bedrock Keys
Follow these three steps to destroy Bedrock Keys.
- Step one: Destroy Geo Lamps using Geo Damage or a claymore to obtain a Geograna.
- Step two: Approach the Geo Formation to transfer the Geograna into it.
- Step three: Fire a projectile by attacking the Geo Formation with Geo Damage or a claymore.
There are two considerations you need to remember. First, the projectile must be fired in the direction of the Bedrock Key. So when you attack the Geo Formations, consider the position of the Bedrock Key, or the projectile will fire in the wrong direction.
Second, Geo Formations will only fire projectiles on a straight line. Every time a projectile successfully hits the Bedrock Key, it sinks by a little bit. This means that you need to attack the Geo Formations based on their vertical positions to correctly line up the projectiles with the Bedrock Key.
Bedrock Key Locations and How to Destroy Them
After destroying the first Bedrock Key with Zhiqiong, you need to find the other three yourself. The quest markers will lead you to the exact locations of the puzzles. Their positions have also been marked up in the image above—they can be completed in any order.
The Geograna can be placed in the Geo Formations in any order. Use the elevators to help you reach the Geo Formations floating in the air.
Reference the image above for the exact order of firing the projectiles. Start from the highest Geo Formation and end with the lowest one inside the hut. The Bedrock should sink every time a projectile is fired. If not, then double check the direction you’re attacking from.
The Geograna can be placed in the Geo Formations in any order. Use the Wind Current at the center of the gorge to help you navigate the area.
Reference the image above for the order of attacking the Geo Formations, but keep in mind that the second Geo Formation needs to be attacked twice so that the Bedrock Key sinks by two levels as well. Otherwise, the third Geo Formation’s projectile won’t be able to reach it.
The Bedrock Key in Fuao Vale is a little hard to find, as it’s not in the exact position of the quest market. Look for the Teleport Waypoint in The Surface and use it as your guideline. The cave to its right leads to the Bedrock Key’s location.
Like the first two, the Geograna can be placed in the Geo Formations in any order. Reference the image above for the order of attacking the Geo Formations. Keep in mind that the third is located in the watery area below.
Final Bedrock Key
Report back to Zhiqiong after destroying the three Bedrock Keys above. The quest marker will take you to the location of the final one. the Geograna can be placed in the Geo Formations in any order, but it’s recommended to do the top one first to prevent a long climb later on. After, attack the Geo Formation on top and then attack the one below to complete the puzzle.
You’ll know that the Bedrock Keys have been successfully destroyed if a cutscene plays after completing each.
