In Horizon Forbidden West, Rockbreakers are terrifying mole-like machines. Their most difficult fighting mechanic is their ability to burrow underground and emerge right beneath Aloy, causing massive damage on impact. The best way to combat this powerful machine is to remove some of the key body parts that allow it to perform these devastating attacks.

Taking out the Rockbreaker’s Blaze Sac will disable its ability to perform attacks with Fire effects, saving Aloy some extra HP during battle. Players can also target the Mining Claws, which, if destroyed, will disable the Rockbreaker’s ability to burrow underground.
