On the morning of Jan. 25, Patch 6.08 for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker dropped. With it, a host of changes for classes and the all-important release of the Oceanian data center. 

Below, we’ve broken down the patch notes, highlighting the game’s job changes and other balance updates.

Patch 6.08 Job Changes

Almost all DPS classes, as well as Paladins and Warriors got some damage buffs in the 6.08 patch.

Paladin

Paladin got a little love for this patch with Warrior and Gunbreaker doing massive amounts of damage.

  • Spirits Within – Potency has been increased from 250 to 270.
  • Expiation – Potency has been increased from 300 to 340.
  • Blade of Faith – Potency has been increased from 250 to 420.
  • Blade of Truth – Potency has been increased from 350 to 500.
  • Blade of Valor – Potency has been increased from 420 to 580.

Marauder/Warrior

There are no nerfs yet for Warriors, who get their ranged option increased in potency.

  • Tomahawk – Potency has been increased from 100 to 150.

Monk

Monk gets a bit more damage.

  • Phantom Rush – Potency has been increased from 1,000 to 1,150.

Dragoon

Dragoon tether is gone! Other than that, some nice buffs to damage.

  • Dragon Sight – The range has been extended from 12y to 30y. A target party member is no longer required to remain within 12y to receive the effects of the Left Eye buff. The channeling animation between the dragoon and their target was removed. It also affects PvP.
  • Raiden Thrust – Potency has been increased from 260 to 280.
  • Stardiver – Potency has been increased from 500 to 620.
  • Heavens’ Thrust – Combo potency has been increased from 430 to 480.
  • Chaotic Spring – Combo potency has been increased from 240 to 260. Rear Combo potency increased from 280 to 300.

Rogue/Ninja

Ninja’s kit got some tweaks to increase damage overall. As a result, good Ninjas got better, and bad Ninjas have even more potential for damage.

  • Spinning Edge – Potency increased from 200 to 210.
  • Gust Slash – Potency has been increased from 140 to 160. Combo potency increased from 300 to 320.
  • Aeolian Edge – Potency has been increased from 120 to 140. Rear attack potency increased from 180 to 200. Combo potency increased from 340 to 360. Rear Combo potency increased from 400 to 420.
  • Armor Crush – Potency has been increased from 120 to 140. Flank attack potency increased from 180 to 200. Combo potency increased from 320 to 340. Flank combo potency increased from 380 to 400.
  • Hyosho Ranryu -Potency has been increased from 1,200 to 1,300.

Samurai

Samurai got overall more damage.

  • Hakaze – Potency has been increased from 150 to 180.
  • Jinpu – Combo potency increased from 250 to 280.
  • Shifu – Combo potency increased from 250 to 280.
  • Ogi Namikiri – Potency has been increased from 800 to 900.
  • Kaeshi: Namikiri – Potency increased from 1,200 to 1,350.

Machinist

You know the “Drill,” more damage.

  • Drill – Potency h increased from 550 to 570.
  • Air Anchor – Potency increased from 550 to 570.
  • Chain Saw – Potency increased from 550 to 570.

Dancer

Dancer got more damage as well.

  • Cascade – Potency increased from 180 to 220.
  • Fountain – Combo potency 240 to 280.
  • Reverse Cascade – Potency 240 to 280.
  • Fountainfall – Potency 300 to 340.
  • Technical Finish – 4 Steps potency risen from 1,080 to 1,200.

Thuamaturge/Black Mage

The standstill and do damage class got more damage.

  • Fire III – Potencyincreased from 240 to 260.
  • Blizzard III – Potencyncreased from 240 to 260.
  • Blizzard IV – Potency increased from 300 to 310.
  • Fire IV – Potency increased from 300 to 310.
  • Xenoglossy – Potency increased from 660 to 760.

Summoner

Summoner got more damage too!

  • Astral Impulse – Potency has been increased from 430 to 440.
  • Ruby Rite – Potency has been increased from 430 to 450.
  • Fountain of Fire – Potency has been increased from 520 to 540.

Oceanian Data Center

The Oceanian data center has been added! You can now select it from the Data Center menu on the title screen. Currently, all Oceanian worlds are designated as “New Worlds.” That means a double EXP bonus until level 80.
