It’s coming up to the year anniversary of Genshin Impact, and miHoYo has something special in mind with the release of 2.0. When this update drops soon, a whole new region will gamers will be able to explore in the Electro region of Inazuma, along with some new upcoming characters, Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu.

According to Twitter account, Genshin Report cross-save is also being enabled with this 2.0 update. A big thank you to abc64 for discovering the code.

Cross-save between mobile, PC, and PlayStation will be introduced in version 2.0 It will also be present when Genshin comes to Switch and allow for hoyolab on consoles

This means that you’ll be able to use one save the file and continue playing it on any device that supports Genshin Impact. Play on your PC, then if you feel like changing to mobile, you can do. All your saved data will be safe and accessible.

This will also be present from the get-go when the Nintendo Switch version eventually gets released, and we all know the Switch version will be the penultimate in portable play. Never miss out on a weekly boss or event ever again.

Until this is confirmed, take it with a pinch of salt, but there are high hopes on the 2.0 update coming to Genshin Impact.
