Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a remake of the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl which was released in 2006. Despite being a remake, there is some new content that was not in the previous games. One feature that is both old and new is multiplayer. Players may be wondering if they can play multiplayer.

There are multiple things to do with multiplayer in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The traditional battling and trading make a return in these remakes. At launch, two players can enter the Union Room to do so. The Pokémon Company has confirmed they intend to update the game which will allow for additional players.

In addition to this, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl introduced a new multiplayer feature. Players can invite and join their friends in the Grand Underground. Here they can adventure together as well as dig up fossils making spelunking even more fun.

These multiplayer features are available both through the Nintendo Switch’s local communication or online communication. This means that you can play with your friends regardless of where they are in the world! Experience Pokémon together in a never-before-seen way.
